Let's enter Main Street. Here is what it looked like at the beginning of the 20th century: a cobbled street, with yokings of oxen or horses. The shop of the blacksmith on the left has disappeared at the same time than the horses. This is the upper part of Main Street. Looking behind us, this is a view taken in the direction of Strasbourg. There are a lot of people walking in the middle of the road. At that time there was less danger to be knocked down by a car. The hole city was a "pedestrian quarter". Before going further in Main Street, I would like to make a little detour, through the Paris Road, up to the Mission of the Holy Spirit Fathers.
