Paris Road and Poincaré College
(continued)

Along the Paris Road we arrive to the Poincaré College High School, named after a famous General of the first world war. It was formerly a catholic boy school (Katholische Knabenschule). Today, the college is a public one and it is mixed. The entrance shown on this card does not exist today. The volume occupied by the former stairs is used as dustbin room.

On the card hereunder, the Paris Road is on the right. You can see the spire of the protestant church in the background. On the left there is the current Poincaré Street in which you can find, in front of the Poincaré College, the Lycée Leclerc (secondary high school), named after the General who liberated Saverne from the German in 1944. In the foreground on the left you can see some plants at the corner of the street which indicate that the Lycéee hasn't been built yet.
