All these views show clearly that Saverne wasn't a very large city at the beginning of the 20th century. It was surrounded everywhere by fields, meadows and orchards, which penetrated far in the city that we know today.

We will now enter in the city, coming from the east, from the road of Strasbourg (currently RN4).
