This view, taken from the "Hoh-Barr" slope (german spelling) as explained in the caption,
shows the hill located behind and over the protestant church. All these fields are now built and
the hill has become a residential district of the city.
Going up a little farther, we arrive at the water tower, now located in a park. If you know Saverne, you will notice that the Blessed Virgin statue is missing. It will be built only after the second world war, next to the water tower on the right.
Here are two outlooks taken from the Golden Goat Hill that overhangs the railway station. In the meadows and orchards you could meet gardeners at work on a windy spring or autumn day, but also families making a little walk during a sunny sunday afternoon, under their umbrella.
